Baby showers are full of paper: invitations, a welcome sign, favor tags, games, a guest book and later a baby book to keep the photos. Printable baby paper lets you make all of it in one soft palette and print exactly as much as you need. Here are baby shower printable paper ideas, plus how to carry the same papers into a baby memory book.
Choose a palette
Soft pastels are the classic choice, but gender-neutral sage, oatmeal and periwinkle palettes are popular too, and they suit a nursery long after the shower. Pick one pack for the whole event so the invitation, table and favors match. Our baby packs use clouds, ducklings, rattles, stars and moons in gentle colors.
1. Invitations
Print a patterned panel and layer the invitation text on top, or use the paper as an envelope liner for a plain printed invite. A 5 x 7 in invitation fits two per Letter sheet. If you design the invitation in Canva, our Canva guide shows how to use the paper as a background behind text.
2. Welcome sign and table cards
A welcome sign can be a 12 x 12 print from the JPG with a title cut from cardstock, set on an easel. Table cards and food labels are small folded tents, about 3.5 x 2 in, printed four or more to a sheet.
3. Favor bags and tags
Wrap favor boxes or small bags with a printed band and add a round or shipping tag with the baby’s name or the date. Tag sizes and steps are in gift tags, envelopes and bookmarks.
4. Advice cards and a guest book
Print advice cards on a patterned border and let guests fill them in, then collect them in a small album. It doubles as the guest book and becomes one of the most-read pages in the baby book later.
5. Bunting and garlands
Cut triangles or circles from cardstock and string them along a ribbon. Spell the baby’s name, or alternate three papers from one pack. Heavier paper keeps the pennants from curling.
6. Gift wrap for the parents-to-be
Wrap your own gift in the same pack: small boxes can be wrapped in a printed sheet, larger ones in kraft paper with a patterned belly band. See DIY gift wrap with printable paper.
From shower to baby book
The papers you used at the shower make a natural start for the baby book. Keep the invitation, a few advice cards and a photo of the cake, then continue with month-by-month pages: first smile, first bath, first foods. A 6 x 6 or 8 x 8 album is easy to keep up with when you are short on sleep. Our mini album guide and layout ideas for beginners help you get started.
Nursery prints
A set of three framed prints from the same pack is a simple nursery decoration. Print at home on matte cardstock for small frames, or send the 12 x 12 JPG to a print shop for larger ones.
Licenses for shower and nursery projects
Everything above, made for your own shower or a friend’s, is personal use. If you sell baby shower invitations or nursery prints, read personal vs commercial use first: printable invitations you sell need the Commercial license.
