Digital scrapbook paper is patterned paper sold as a file instead of a printed sheet. You download it, print it at home or at a print shop, and use it exactly like paper from a craft store. You can also use it on screen, in design apps and digital planners. If you are new to it, this guide covers what you get, how to use it and what you are allowed to do with it.
What you get in a digital paper pack
A pack is a set of coordinating patterns designed to work together on one layout. Ours have 20 papers each, built around one theme and palette: a few busy patterns, a few quiet ones, and some stripes, plaids or small prints to tie them together. Each pack includes:
- 12 x 12 in JPG files at 300 DPI (3600 x 3600 pixels), the standard scrapbook size
- US Letter and A4 PDFs, ready to print on a home printer at the pattern’s true scale
- A 6 x 6 in mini PDF with crop marks, for cards and small albums
- A license file that spells out what you can do with the designs

Why crafters use digital paper
- Print only what you need. Need three sheets of one pattern and none of another? Print exactly that, as many times as you like.
- Never run out. Ruin a sheet or need one more tag for a set, and you print another.
- Use it everywhere. The same pattern can become a card, an envelope liner, a cupcake wrapper and a background in Canva.
- Instant delivery. No shipping, no waiting, and no paper pads sitting half-used in a drawer.
How to use it
Printed projects
Print on matte cardstock or heavier text paper and treat it like any patterned paper: cards, scrapbook layouts, junk journals, gift wrap, tags, decoupage and party decor. Our guide to printing digital scrapbook paper at home covers the settings.
Digital projects
Import the JPGs into Canva, Procreate, Photoshop or a digital scrapbooking app and use them as backgrounds, fills and frames. Cutting machine users can use them with Cricut Print Then Cut.
What about the license?
Buying a digital paper pack gives you a license to use the designs, not ownership of them. Licenses vary from shop to shop, so always read the one included with your files. Ours come in three levels:
- Personal: print for your own projects, and sell up to 500 handmade physical items per design (cards, journals, gift boxes).
- Commercial: everything in Personal with no item limit, plus print on demand products and use as backgrounds in your own digital products.
- Resell (PLR): everything in Commercial, plus the right to resell the paper files under your own shop name.
None of the licenses allow sharing the files or using them to train AI models. The details, with examples, are in personal vs commercial use digital paper.
Is digital paper as good as store-bought paper?
Printed well, yes for most projects. The result depends on your paper and printer more than on the file. Patterns printed on good matte cardstock look like printed craft paper. Two things are different: home prints are not as water resistant as commercially printed paper unless you seal them, and most home printers leave a thin margin at the edge. For full-bleed 12 x 12 sheets, a print shop gives the closest match to store paper.
